FAQ
- How does upkeep work in Rust?
- Every building piece costs resources per day. These resources must be stored in your Tool Cupboard (TC). If the TC runs empty, your base starts decaying.
- How long before a base decays?
- Twig decays in 1 hour, wood in 3 hours, stone in 5 hours, metal in 8 hours, and HQM in 12 hours after the TC runs out.
- Does upkeep scale with base size?
- Yes, upkeep uses a progressive tax system. The first few pieces are cheap, but the per-piece cost increases as your base gets larger.
